The Wirral Waters Campus, dedicated to delivering training and education for Construction and the Built Environment, and providing a Skills and Enterprise Centre for local employers, will play a key part in the regeneration of the wider economy. This is the first key landmark on Peel Group’s Wirral Waters development, one half of the Mersey Waters Enterprise Zone.

How to get here

  • By Bus

    Please contact Merseytravel on 0151 236 7676 for timetable and route details.

  • By Train

    If you are visiting Wirral Waters Campus, Hamilton Square is the nearest station and is served by trains from Merseyside and Cheshire.

  • By car from the M6

    Leave the M6 at junction 20 and join the M56 towards Runcorn. Leave the M56 at junction 15 and join the M53 towards Ellesmere Port & Birkenhead. Leave the M53 at the third slip road exit of junction 3 to join the A552. Remain on the A552 (Borough Road) until the junction with A5029 (Exmouth Street). Turn left. Continue on A5029 (Rendel Street). Take the first exit at the roundabout onto the A554 (Tower Road) and the college campus is located on the left hand side.

  • By car from Liverpool city centre

    Travel under the river Mersey via the Kingsway Tunnel (toll). On emerging from the tunnel, take the first slip road exit for the A5027. Take the first exit at the roundabout (Corporation Road). Turn left onto A5029 (Rendel Street). Take the first exit at the roundabout onto the A554 (Tower Road) and the college campus is located on the left hand side.

Parking

There is no parking for students or visitors before 4.00pm at Wirral Waters Campus.

Please note County Parking provide a parking management service whereby an illegally parked vehicle will be issued with a penalty charge.

Our new multi-million pound Wirral Waters Campus, Tower Road, Birkenhead CH41 1AA, opened in September 2015.

Morgan Sindall and Wirral Met College involved students at every stage of the new Wirral Waters Campus development, and provided learning opportunities to existing Wirral Met construction students, giving them an insight into all aspects of a major construction project and first-hand experience on a live project. Each stage of the campus build has been filmed; including Building the Partnership, Designing the Campus, Building the Campus, Building in Sustainability, Building skills for the future and the Official Campus Launch.
